Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 7, 2026
By using 204 Marketplace you agree to these terms. They are written plainly on purpose.
We are the noticeboard, not the seller
Members deal directly with each other. 204 Marketplace does not own, inspect, handle or ship any item, does not process payment for person-to-person sales, and does not guarantee that an item, price or member is as described. Meet in public, inspect before you pay, and read our safe trading tips.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and live in or trade within Manitoba.
- One account per person. Keep your login details to yourself.
- You are responsible for everything posted from your account.
What you may not list
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives and weapons.
- Illegal drugs, tobacco, vapes, alcohol and prescription medication.
- Counterfeit or stolen goods.
- Live animals, animal parts, and anything regulated by wildlife law.
- Adult services, human remains, or anything hateful or harassing.
- Recalled or unsafe items, and personal information belonging to someone else.
- Multi-level marketing pitches, bulk spam, or listings not actually for sale.
Listing rules
Post accurate titles, prices and photos of the actual item. Photos must be yours or ones you have permission to use. Do not repost the same item repeatedly to move it up the page.
If your item is already on Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace, you may bring it over as a referral link only if it is your own listing. Referral listings send buyers to the original and cannot be messaged here.
Messages and conduct
No harassment, scams, spam or off-platform payment schemes such as gift cards or overpayment refunds. Report anything suspicious using the report link on a listing.
Business storefronts
Businesses may add a logo, banner, location, hours and contact details. Those details are public and must be accurate and current. You are responsible for meeting any licensing, tax and consumer-protection obligations that apply to your business in Manitoba.
Removal and suspension
We may remove any listing and suspend or close any account that breaks these terms, at our discretion and without notice, to keep the community safe.
Liability
The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent Manitoba law allows, 204 Marketplace is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or dispute arising from a transaction, listing or message between members. Disputes between buyers and sellers are between those members.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the laws of Canada that apply in it.
